The Orthokeratology Society of Oceania (OSO) is preparing to deliver its most ambitious conference yet, with OSO 2025 scheduled for 10 –12 October at RACV Royal Pines, Queensland.
Building on the enormous success of the 2023 event, this year’s three-day conference promises to be a comprehensive exploration of orthokeratology, myopia management, and specialty contact lenses. The event is designed to cater to practitioners at all levels, from experienced clinicians to those new to the field.
World-Class Expertise on Display
The conference will feature an impressive lineup of keynote speakers, each bringing unique perspectives to the evolving landscape of eye care. Dr Gareth Lingham, a postdoctoral researcher at the Lions Eye Institute and University of Western Australia, will share insights from his work on myopia management and outdoor time’s impact on myopia risk. As a clinical data analyst at Ocumetra and contributor to major studies including MOSAIC and the Raine Study, Dr Lingham brings both research depth and practical application to his presentations.
Dr Michael J. Lipson, a retired optometrist and former associate professor at the University of Michigan, will draw from his extensive background in orthokeratology, scleral lenses, and myopia management. As author of Contemporary Orthokeratology and an established international lecturer, Dr Lipson’s contributions to specialty contact lens education are well-recognised throughout the industry.
The speaker roster also includes renowned experts Dr Noel Brennan, Dr Daddi Fadel, and Professor Michael Collins, each bringing specialised knowledge to address the diverse interests of conference attendees.

OSO 2025 will offer a multi-faceted approach to professional development, combining world-class keynote presentations with immersive workshops designed to enhance practical skills.
