About Us
We are a well-established practice located in the leafy, family friendly suburb of Gymea, NSW since 1985.
We're equipped with cutting-edge technology, including an OCT, Medmont Perimeter, Topcon NCT/Auto refractor/Pachymeter, we also offer Blephex and Meibomian gland expression for dry eye care.
From a dispensing perspective, we have top-of-the-range Rodenstock lens dispensing equipment (including a DNEye and Impressionist).
- 45-minute sessions for comprehensive patient care.
- Work alongside 3 experienced optical dispensers and a full-time optometrist.
- 2-3 days per week. We are open until 1pm Saturday and no Sundays.
Role and Responsibilities: As our Optometrist, you will play a vital role in our practice. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments for full scope practice, ideally with therapeutic prescribing rights.
- Utilizing advanced diagnostic equipment, such as OCT and Medmont Perimeter, to accurately diagnose and manage ocular conditions.
- Demonstrating a keen interest in dry eye management and providing appropriate treatments and recommendations.
- Collaborating with our experienced optical dispensers and working together as a cohesive team.
- Delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining strong relationships with our valued clientele.
- Continuously staying up to date with the latest advancements in optometry to provide the highest standard of care.
Requirements: We are looking for a Qualified Optometrist who possesses the following qualities and qualifications:
- AHPRA Registration.
- Therapeutic prescribing is beneficial for our client base.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment. Ideally with more than 7 years of experience.
- Previous leadership, training and/or supervising experience is a bonus.
- Special interest in dry eye management beneficial, with knowledge of current treatment options and techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to build rapport with patients and work effectively within our team.
