For the eighth year in a row, Specsavers has been named the ‘most trusted’ brand of optometrists by British consumers receiving a massive 45 per cent of the overall vote; more than twice the market leader’s nearest rivals Boots and Vision Express combined. The vote was conducted by the Readers Digest European Trusted Brands 2009 survey.
Readers from 16 European countries were asked to identify the brand they trusted in 38 categories, ranging from car and credit card companies to holiday operators and retailers. Specsavers founder, Doug Perkins said he was pleased to see Specsavers win the most trusted optometrist accolade for the eighth straight year.
“It is really a refection of all the hard work that stores put in to ensure customer satisfaction. Importantly, as we are now seeing in Australia and New Zealand, if you take all the administrative and back-office work off the stores, practitioners can focus squarely on providing the ultimate patient and customer service experience,” said Mr. Perkins.
