SILMO, one of the largest optical trade fairs in the world, will, for the first time, run a merchandising workshop at the Paris fair in September.
This inaugural Silmo merchandising workshop is aimed at Opticians who are seeking new store layout ideas and innovative window displays.
Store windows have become a true medium in themselves and undoubtedly help boost sales by offering a “window” into the outlet and having significant pulling power, grabbing the attention of customers and encouraging them to make a purchase.
Organisers say the merchandising workshop will use a dynamic and light setting in an open space at the heart of the fair to present truly inspiring store window layout ideas based on key themes.
It will even offer visitors the chance to talk to window dressers and merchandising experts with the aim being to offer opticians practical and concrete solutions.
Opticians are invited to register on silmoparis.com in order to benefit from free, valuable and personalised advice over the four-day event.
The workshop will offer display coaching in a fun and interactive way so that opticians can master all the tricks of the trade and create effective and attractive window displays.
Silmo 2009 is on from 17 to 20 September at Porte de Versailles, Paris, France. For further information go to: www.silmo.fr
