There have been some major changes at the top of Eyecare Partners (EPL) with managing director Sam Anderson resigning from the position earlier this year. In the “Change of Director’s Interest Notice” presented to the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX), Ms Anderson’s resignation took affect as of 14 January 2010 and showed that despite the resignation, she showed enormous faith in the company by indirectly purchasing an additional 800,000 ordinary shares.
Eyecare Partners announced Ms Anderson’s and another resignation in a media release which said: “EPL wishes to announce the resignation of Sam Andersen as Managing Director for personal reasons. Sam has successfully led the company from listing with 16 practices to the current level of 41. The board thanks Sam for her dedication and invaluable contribution and we wish her well in her future endeavours.
“Mr. Tony Larkin has also tendered his resignation in order to devote more time to his current commitments. The board thanks Tony for his valuable contributions especially that of chair of the audit committee where his advice was greatly appreciated. A search is currently underway for a replacement chief executive officer to lead the company on its next phase of growth. In the interim, Tracey Hutchinson our chief financial officer is acting in the position”.
