Luxottica has employed more than 40 Optometry graduates across the business in Australia and New Zealand.
Cheryl Nichols, Optometry Recruitment and Relationship Director at UNSW said she is excited about the calibre of graduates joining Luxottica.
“We had less students to select from this year, with absence of graduates from the UNSW Optometry course extending to five years,” she said. “And we have some excellent graduates joining our growing number of Optometrists”.
“We are delighted that so many graduates have taken positions in regional areas, where there is traditionally a shortage of Optometrists.More than 85 per cent of the graduates have accepted roles in regional areas, including five in NSW,” said Cheryl.
Graduate Optometrists will be on board early 2010.
The addition of these graduates brings Luxottica’s Professional Optometry community to approximately 700.
