The exclusive British automobile company Bentley has now added another overpriced luxury item to its repertoire: sunglasses.
At the Geneva Motor Show, Bentley launched a new line of limited edition sunglasses made in collaboration with Austrian eyewear company, Estede.
Estede is a family-run company leader in the luxury eyewear sector and has been working with famous British design group Crewe on the creation of “Estede for Bentley”: luxury eyewear. The line features precious metals like silver, palladium, 18-carat gold and the most exclusive of all, platinum, a material that Estade states has never been used for eyewear.
The lenses have been finished with innovative surface treatments that reflect Bentley’s stitched leather upholstery. Available in two sizes with aviator-style shading, they will come in a presentation box with interchangeable lenses, depending on the type of activity.
On request, the sunglasses, which are all strictly numbered, can be engraved with the owner’s name and/or the name of the Bentley model.
Prices range from around AUD$1,900.00 for silver or palladium, AUD$5,500.00 for 18-carat gold and up to AUD$15,000.00 for the platinum model.
