Eminent UK vision scientist, Professor Bruce Evans, will visit Australia in October and will lecture in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
Professor Evans is the author of many books and papers on reading and literacy problems and vision and he is widely acknowledged as a leading expert in this field. He is a senior lecturer at City University in London and director of research at the Institute of Optometry. Apart from lecturing widely in the UK and Europe, in private practice Professor Evans he has integrated a successful specific learning difficulties clinic.
The forthcoming lectures will include information on new and updated research in relation to visual stress and precision tinted lenses in reading problems and medical conditions, including photosensitive migraine and autism. He will also discuss specific learning difficulties in community optometry practice. Also joining Professor Evans will be Kevin Rooney, an Adelaide practitioner who has accumulated interesting data from ten years of practicing colorimetry.
