Tony Tasset’s giant eyeball has landed in Chicago. Tasset is an award winning multimedia artist from Chicago whose highly anticipated new public sculpture ‘Eye’ was modelled on one of the artist’s own eyes.
The ‘Eye’ is a 30-foot fiberglass sculpture. It was transported down the highway from its Wisconsin manufacturer to its home in Pritzker Park, Chicago in carefully cut sections. From here, the white of the eye and the striking blue iris were assembled.
The finished sculpture is scheduled for a public unveiling this Wednesday 7 July and will be on display until October.
