The Queen has been photographed wearing a pair of high fashion Marchon 3D frames equipped with M3D lenses.
The frames were encrusted with Swarovski crystals that form the letter Q on each temple. The Guardian newspaper reported that the idea for the extra trimmings came from Angela Kelly, the Queen’s dresser and personal assistant.
Reputedly the highest-ranking dignitary to be photographed in 3D glasses Queen Elizabeth II wore her 3D frames for a demonstration of film technology during a visit to studios in Toronto, Canada.
The Queen got to witness a scene being filmed in 3D, and then immediately watched it played back on a big projection screen.
Studio photographer John Reeve said, “I think the Queen liked the glasses.”
