The New Zealand CCLS 2011 scientific conference, held at the end of this month (March), with a stunning line-up of international and New Zealand speakers as well as a great social program, and a spectacular location, is set to be a memorable event.
Confirmed international keynote speakers include Lyndon Jones, Randy Kojima, Harminder Dua, Alan Tomlinson, Prof. Gerard Sutton and Prof. Nathan Efron.
A new initiative, entitled ‘Expert at my table’ will enable delegates to join speakers for breakfast to discuss a given topic. “This is a great opportunity to get up-close and personal with world leaders in their field” says Malcolm McKellar, CCLS President. There will also be speaker debates, a clinical images competition and a scientific poster session.
The program is diverse and relevant to every day clinical practice. Topics include new understandings of corneal anatomy and physiology, modern GP lens fitting, cornea based refractive surgery, practical applications of corneal topography, minor oculoplastic surgery for external disease specialists, drug delivery using both contact lenses and retinal implants, and cornea based refractive surgery.
The social programme includes the opening social function INCOMING on Thursday evening at a helicopter hangar at Queenstown Airport and Circus Circus, a themed conference dinner.

Delegate numbers and attendance at the breakfasts and workshops are limited but interest is high so register quickly to avoid disappointment. Early Bird registrations go into a draw to win a helicopter ride for two.
The conference will be held at the Millennium Hotel, Queenstown, New Zealand from 31 March to 3 April.
