World Eyes on Vision X Dubai

Almost 4,000 professionals from the international eyewear and eye care industry gathered in Dubai recently for Vision X, the most important exhibition event in the Middle East devoted to the eyewear sector.

One hundred and twenty leading companies from five continents exhibited in a massive 8,000 sq m space in the Sheikh Saeed Halls from 24-26 May.

In addition to free daily seminars covering the latest eye issues and technologies, the ‘Vision-X Fashion Catwalk’ featured the latest designs from the popular brands that included Puma, Esprit, Tru Trussardi and Maui Jim.

Recognising the potential of this lucrative market as it moves out of the global recession, the Italian Association of Optical Goods Manufacturers (ANFAO) had a strong presence. A group of 13 Italian eyewear companies exhibited at Vision X, comprising Atmosphera, Brands Oi, Eyevit Distribuzione, Fedon, Foval, GB, La Fenice, Lara D, Lastes Group, Look Occhiali, Martini Occhiali, Solmar Eyewear and Symboline.
