China International Optics Fair 2011

Asia’s most influential optical exhibition, the China International Optics Fair (CIOF 2011) will be staged in Beijing from 14-16 September.

The 24th CIOF will build on the success of last year’s Fair, which featured a record 731 exhibitors from 22 countries and regions, and attracted almost 42,000 visitor entries, from 66 countries and regions. There were 245 international brands on display alongside a multitude of Chinese brands over an area of 44,000 square metres. With demand for space on the increase by an overwhelming number of local and international exhibitors, this year organisers say the exhibition space will take up the entire CIEC exhibition halls, and a massive 44,700 square metres.

CIOF 2011 will display and demonstrate state-of-the-art exhibits, ranging from spectacle frames, sunglasses, 3D glasses, lenses, and contact lens. Brands represented include Alexander McQueen, Serengeti, M Missoni, Kansai Polaroid and Max Mara.

In addition to fashion sun and optical frames, visitors can discover the latest visual test equipment, machinery and raw materials for making frames and lenses as well as instruments for optometry and ophthalmology. Moreover, traders and buyers can check national or regional prestigious products which are trademarks of China.

With a vast number of exhibitors, traders
and buyers, CIOF is an efficient and effective way to source sought-after optical products and equipment.

China is one of the largest consumer markets for premium quality and prestige brand eyewear and sunglasses. This exhibition will help international and local brands tap into the lucrative Chinese market and consolidate their position in the country.

As China implements the 12th five year plan for economic and social development, this year could be more valuable to exhibitors than any before.

With a focus on new development, products and production processes, the exhibition organisers say that Chinese manufacturing enterprises and agencies are always looking for high-technology machinery, materials, components and accessories to cater for the local optical industry’s manufacturing needs.
