Luxottica has reported that 85 per cent of its optometry graduates will commence the group’s Graduate Recruitment Mentor and Training Program in regional areas across Australia and New Zealand.
“It is fantastic to see the Optometry Graduate Program continue to grow in success and reputation, said Cheryl Nichols, National Optometry HR Director for Luxottica.
“This is the highest percentage of graduates Luxottica has ever placed in regional areas across Australia and New Zealand and has been achieved through providing the highest level of support and training for each individual.”
Graduates in the Luxottica program are supported by the Luxottica Mentor Program, Cadetship Program, Regional Eyecare Managers, Institute of Learning run by academic Dr. Peter Herse and a specifically designed 12-month training program called the Optometry Learning Pathways.
The company says that this support, combined with experienced industry experts and CPD training programs available through e-learning to regionally placed optometrists, helps to provide a solid foundation and an introduction to each graduate’s Optometry career.
