Driving Fashion in 2012: Mercedes-Benz Eyewear

HDA technology has been used by Okia to create the exquisite Flowers and Butterflies collection.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column]

Created with High Definition Acetate (HDA) Technology, these creatively inspired frames feature thousands of shapes in vivid and unexpected colours. Special metallic effects are produced using Okia’s revolutionary BMT technique. Finally, metallic rims and bridges bestow a delicate and fresh touch of refinement and style.

The latest eyewear collection from Mercedes-Benz features sides and rims in expressive red and trendy teal, while timeless hues such as grey, black and brown continue alongside them.

The collection covers a broad range of designs, from young and fashionable to exclusive and luxurious. In addition a drivers edition has been specially developed for long drives. With the exception of models in the shield style, all sunglasses can be fitted with prescription lenses.

The Mercedes star is the central element of the collection. The elegant 3D effect is achieved through a number of intricate production steps, some of which are carried out by hand.

Pictured is one of the collection’s state of the art sunglasses made from extremely light pure titanium with stylish rims, a high-set bridge, a special arm design and an integrated hinge milled into the side.
