The Trust was founded in memory of the late Behavioural Optometrist Sue Larter by her husband John and The Australasian College of Behavioural Optometrists (ACBO). It was established in early 2012 to provide funding for disadvantaged children to access vision therapy and related services.
Ms. Larter was President of ACBO when she died unexpectedly in 2011 in a snorkelling accident, while holidaying with her husband on the Kermadec Islands, I,000 km north-east of New Zealand.
