Specsavers flew Christina Hendricks, the American actress and star of the award-winning television series mad men into Sydney last month (October) to launch the annual Specsavers Spectacle Wearer of
the Year (SWOTY) competition.
The SWOTY competition is a nationwide search for the country’s most stylish specs wearer. Christina Hendricks will be its ambassador for the next 12 months and one of the judges.
Speaking of her role in the competition, Ms. Hendricks said, “It’s a great initiative that encourages people to be proud and confident of wearing their glasses. Personally, I love to wear glasses and experiment with different shapes, colours and styles. I even wear specs when I’m on the red carpet! Glasses are a great fashion accessory that can either complement my outfit or be a statement piece.”
The winner of this year’s Specsavers Spectacle Wearer of the Year competition will receive a trip to Los Angeles and a 12-month modeling contract with SCOOP Model Management.
