Until now, SynergEyes contact lenses have been available to just a small group of practitioners. Graham Lehman, from Contact Lens Centre Australia, said he has been asking for his company to be appointed as distributor for some time.
“We’ve had a great response from practitioners who have known about these contact lenses for some time, but just haven’t been able to get access. Fortunately for us, SynergEyes decided to grow its international market – and because our business deals with a lot of US companies, they trust us.”

He said issues once associated with hybrid contact lens technology – such as tearing and ripping – have all been dealt with. Mr. Lehman said online training will soon be available for practitioners.
