The inspiration for this collection, launched at Silmo, was Giudecca, an island that has always been considered an integral part of Venice.
Sicilian designer Piero Massaro chose acetates in the same orange as the island’s imposing Molino Stucky building. The temple faceting of some models is reminiscent of the curves and corners typical of the forcolas (oarlocks) on Venetian boats.
The result is an alternation of light and dark areas that change depending on the direction; a play of light and shade that enhances brilliance and opacity.
All the models in this collection have Massaro’s patented bayonet temples. Sun lenses are manufactured from Barberini optical glass.
