A team of eye care professionals will head to Dili in East Timor this month to conduct eye health examinations and provide ongoing training to the region’s local eye care professionals as part of the now well established East Timor Eye Program.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column]
Michale Knipe and Sib Verma from Australia will join American optometrist Sandra Wang Harris, who now lives in Dili, along with ophthalmologists Dr. Nitin Verma and Dr. Kevin Vandeleur and nurse Helen Postma. Essilor will also send a team member.
The team will arrive in Dili from 9-11 February and remain in the area for approximately one week.
