Transitions Appointments

Transitions Optical has welcomed two new members to its Australian team with the appointments of Shannon Jennings to Territory Manager for Queensland, and Stephen Balaza to Phone Based Account Manager located in Adelaide. Additionally, Matt Hyland has been promoted to National Business Manager.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column]

Mr. Hyland will re-locate his family to South Australia from Queensland where he was previously Territory Manager for the State.

Mr. Balaza brings technical and industry specific knowledge to Transitions, having taught optical dispensing for 10 years at TAFE SA and had valuable experience in previous management roles, specifically in education and technology departments within the optical industry. Mr. Balaza was also Retail Director for Specsavers Noarlunga in South Australia.

Ms. Jennings brings unique and varied experience from a variety of industries, having held previous national business development, sales and field management roles with Nestle Oceania.

Eric Breda, Business Director for Transitions Optical, Australian and New Zealand said Transitions will take a new direction in 2013, with community outreach programs planned to continue driving patients to practices and providing support to the industry.

He said the company will take a continuous approach to advertising through a number of channels to drive people to their local optometrist, including television and strategic targeted digital activity to reach relevant markets and demographics online.
