American manufacturer Ocular Instruments has been at the forefront of creating and producing diagnostic lenses of unparalleled sharpness and clarity for more than 40 years. An extensive range of lenses has enabled the company to become a leading worldwide supplier of diagnostic, laser and research lenses.
Ocular Instruments’ range of indirect lenses comes standard with high definition coatings. Many are available in both glass and CR-39 – the CR-39 lens provides a less expensive, lightweight option without compromising on optical quality.
For those who are searching for the ideal gonio lens, Ocular Instruments produces one, two, three and four mirror lenses in high definition material to suit all diagnostic needs, whether that be magnification or viewing field. Many of the gonio lenses are flange free and require no methyl cellulose. Other lenses offer a range of contact diameters and flange options.
Ocular Instruments supplies many of its lenses with different coloured rims at no additional charge. This is particularly useful for eye care professionals that stock a collection of lenses because their use can be associated by colour code. Engraving on each lens can be organised by the Australasian distributor OptiMed
at additional cost.
Trialling Made Easy
This year, in conjunction with OptiMed, Ocular Instruments has committed to new business programmes aimed at making it easier to trial many of the lenses in the range. OptiMed’s product specialist, Tanya Samson, says this is the perfect way to identify the product benefits.
“If you haven’t tried an Ocular Lens before, we’ll organise a trial for you. You will find the range of lenses very cost effective and with no compromise to performance,” concludes Ms. Samson.
Ocular Instrument is also looking after university students with special pricing along with guaranteed replacement of any lenses damaged for any reason (dropped, stepped on, etc) while the student is attending university. Additionally, the company will provide specialised packages and personalised labelling of the box, if required, at no extra charge.
OptiMed will have a special Ocular Lens demonstration centre at SRC and ODMAFAIR. You’re invited to drop by to chat with Tanya about the various lenses in the range and to try them.
OptiStrips-FL – Sterile Fluorescein Strips
OptiMed is pleased to announce the launch of its own Fluorescein Strips in individually packaged 100 or 300/box quantities.
The company has been working with a large manufacturer of sterile strips to bring this product to market and has now formally gained its ARTG number, allowing the strips to be sold onto the Australian and New Zealand market.
OptiStrips will provide practitioners with a suitable quality replacement for a competitive product currently on the market but due to be withdrawn from production.
The strips will be sold in easy dispense packs of 300/box and with a long expiration, providing greater versatility and cost savings for the practitioner.
OptiMed is a supplier of ophthalmic instruments and diagnostic pharmaceuticals to the eye care community. The company distributes its products throughout Australia and New Zealand.
