Paul Taylor recently headed across the ditch to relaunch his brand in New Zealand. He said the response he received from retailers was been overwhelming.
“It was fantastic – almost every shop that saw my collections bought them. I’m really happy to be back in New Zealand having had a seven year break from stocking there.”
Paul loves the New Zealand people because they’re “so down to earth and friendly” and was encouraging retailers who had become more conservative in their product ranges in past years to break out and stock more interesting frames for their customers. “Having some fun with the stock you display is a great way to revitalise business and get staff and customers excited,” he told mivision.
“You can grow your businesses but you need to take some risks with inventory, rather than stocking generic, plain looking frames.”Paul’s frames are now sold in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. He has also just launched Paul Taylor in Asia and will release his latest collection this month (August).
