Running with the slogan “Keep your eye on the ball”, the campaign aims to remind Australians over the age of 50 not to take their sight for granted.
The campaign’s central message is the importance of early detection and intervention for age-related macular degeneration (AMD), which causes progressive (and sometimes rapid) central vision loss and affects one in seven Australians over 50.
To kick off the campaign, the greens of two of the country’s leading bowling clubs – Yarraville Footscray Bowling Club and Glen Eira McKinnon Bowls Club, both in Victoria – underwent an eye-catching transformation to incorporate the campaign logo.
