Southern Regional Congress is just around the corner and registrations to attend the education event held in March for the first time this year are open.
Hosted by the Victorian division of the Optometrists Association Australia, a strong line-up of experts booked to present the educational program includes two keynote American guest speakers: Dr. Jeffrey Gerson who will speak on diabetes care and Dr. Marc Bloomenstein, who will provide an update on new therapeutics in America.
Old favourites scheduled to speak at SRC 2014 include Assoc. Prof. Mark Roth, Prof. Algis Vingrys and Assoc. Prof. Erica Fletcher. Ophthalmologist Dr. Susan Carden will speak on paediatric anterior eye, Assoc.
Prof. Anthony Hall will deliver a presentation on the assessment and management of complicated cataracts and Dr. Brian Ang will speak on treatment options for glaucoma.

Alan Saks and a panel of experts will present at the Johnson & Johnson Vision Care breakfast on the theme: If you build it, they will come and an Alcon ‘double header’ breakfast presentation will focus on therapeutic management in contact lens practice.
For the first time, General Practitioner, Dr. Cathy Hutton will present her perspective on how optometrists and GPs can better work together for the best possible patient outcomes.
