Brave and Lover, the latest frames to come from Norwegian eyewear designer Karmoie, are inspired by the “nostalgic elegance of exquisite vintage styles, combined with pop cultural references and details from industrial design”.
To this designer Kirsten Iversen says she adds her own twist to keep them contemporary and fresh. Karmoie’s frames and parts are entirely sourced, hand shaped and hand polished in Italy. For every frame sold, a pair of corrective glasses is given to a person in need.
“The concept of style, quality and a deeper social meaning, all interconnected, gave us the purpose and motivation we were seeking,” said co-founder Lar Iversen. “Our goal is to create beautiful, uncompromising eyewear while also contributing in a committed and conscientious way towards helping people in need.”
