Natalie Briggs has been appointed the new chief executive of the World Council of Optometry (WCO).
Ms. Briggs was previously the chief executive of the optical charity, Vision Aid Overseas.
The WCO works to promote eye health and vision care as a human right through advocacy, education and policy development. The WCO has 90 member associations from over 45 countries collectively representing over 200,000 optometrists around the world.
