There’s a new brand of eyewear that’s been designed especially for women with large heads. Femie Eyewear incorporates a specialty fit for women with a large pupillary distance, wider forehead, wider face, or prominent cheekbones.
It’s been developed by US optom Dr. Cerella Rainey, who says until now women with large heads have often had to make their choices from men’s collections. “Our goal is to help women look and feel better with fashionable eyewear in large sizes,” she said, adding that they are available to the Australian market.
The frames come in a variety of colours and textures, including handmade acetate and python skin. Some frames are made with adjustable nosepads to reduce slippage.
