Ray-Ban’s classic Wayfarer has been reinvented for a hot summer with both lenses and frames in iridescent colours that respond to sunlight by releasing colours that are always different.
Micro-crystal silica lenses are covered with highly refractive metal oxide which, depending on the strength and angle of light, produces different shades of colour that blend together in a “liquid” result. The same transforming coating has been used on the frames.
Even when light levels are low, the colours are “animated” and produce a mixture of changing nuances.
