Optometry Australia has credited increased membership numbers to the organisation’s new strategic direction and name change announced in May 2014. “By voting to renew or re-establish their membership, optometrists have confirmed they support and approve our direction,” said National Chief Executive Officer Genevieve and Quilty.
“Optometry Australia is the influential voice for optometry,” she said. “We have a clear mandate to continue to speak with authority to decision makers and promote our profession as the crucial primary eye health and vision care profession in Australia.”
She said memberships are welcome throughout the year.
