At RANZCO’s 2014 Annual Scientific Congress ophthalmologists will hear from excellent presenters including UK based glaucoma specialist Dr. Richard Wormald, who will discuss evidence in glaucoma practice. Dr. Garry Brian will present the Hollows lecture with a focus on the need to find a broader alliance with those working in developing countries to effect lasting change. Other invited speakers this year include: Professor Ken K Nischal MD, William F Mieler MD, Terrence P O’brien MD, A/Prof. José L. Güell, A/Prof. Mark D Daniell, Prof. Hugh Taylor and Prof. Minas Coroneo.
For the first time this year, RANZCO’s Fellows and Trainees can put their name down to have an informal discussion with expert speakers on hot topics during the lunch break. “There will be tables of ten in a dedicated section of the trade hall, where one can have a chat with an expert in their areas of interest and ‘pick their brains’ over lunch,” said Congress Convenor A/Prof. Anthony Kwan. “It’s a great opportunity to ask questions and get to know the experts on a more personal level.”
The Welcome Reception will be held at Brisbane’s Gallery of Modern Art, the Graduation Ceremony at the Sofitel overlooking Brisbane’s CBD and the Dinner at Queenslander style venue, Hillstone St Lucia.
