Karen Walker is popping the corks to celebrate 10 years of her sunglasses range, which is sold through Sunshades in 31 countries, including Australia, the US, Japan and Korea. Big, chunky frames, with quirky shapes in bold colours have become Walker’s signature eyewear style which is enjoyed by the likes of Charlize Theron, Anne Hathaway, Alexa Chung, Florence Welch and Rihanna.
To mark 10 years in eyewear the leading light of Kiwi design has launched a limited edition collection, titled ‘Celebrate’ and an iconic style from each of the past 10 years has been reinterpreted, including the top designs Number One, Helter Skelter, Super Duper Strength and Deep Freeze. The collection is all gold: metal frames encased in clear epoxy resin, giving the illusion of a solid gold finish and lenses have an amber base with reflective coating to give a gold mirror finish.
