Celebrate 30 Years Save Sight Event

Save Sight Institute will celebrate 30 years at a gala dinner in the Great Hall at The University of Sydney on Friday 4 September 2015.

The evening will be MC’d by broadcaster James Valentine with entertainment by vocalist Rachael Leahcar and an after dinner presentation by former Wallaby and writer Peter FitzSimons. A three-course dinner will be accompanied by selected beverages and delegates will be invited to participate in a blind wine tasting competition.

Save Sight Institute was established as a not for profit organisation in 1985 under the leadership of Emeritus Professor Frank Billson. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column]

Today the Save Sight Institute incorporates the University of Sydney Discipline of Clinical Ophthalmology, Lions NSW Eye Bank, Foresight Australia and Sight for Life Foundation. The Institute is active in three broad areas – research, teaching and clinical services, all aimed at saving sight.
