La Dolce Vita sunglasses and optical eyewear draw their inspiration from the ‘swinging sixties’ in Italy, so brilliantly depicted in the film of the same name directed by Federico Fellini; an unforgettable period steeped in beauty, enthusiasm and great creativity.
This niche collection, which is designed and hand crafted in Italy comprises 12 optical frames and four sunglasses, two for women and two for men. The acetate sun and optical collection (Mazzucchelli) is vintage inspired with a predominance of rounded shapes.
The cutting edge of the range is represented by the Velluto collection, manufactured using an electro-deposition technique borrowed from the interior design sector, “And finished off in a furnace,” according to one of the company’s co-founding brothers, Larry Sord. “Thanks to this technique, the velvet fibres fall perpendicularly onto the surface of the frame, ensuring greater adherence and an aesthetically perfect result. The acetate ground is not polished but “scratched” to allow the fibre to adhere more easily to its surface for a result that lasts even longer.” We’re assured the adhesive substances used arenon-allergenic. The women’s diva style cat-eye models are available in black, midnight blue, purple and brown. Red and teal will soon be introduced to the range.
