You’d have to agree, it’s not a bad way to get around… Decked out in 60s gear and driving a psychedelic VW Combi, Colette Kinsella from Rodenstock is in the midst of an east coast road trip, aimed at injecting a little fun into her customers’ days while introducing them to Rocco eyewear.
Rodenstock General Manager Tim McCann says the campaign, initiated by the company’s finance manager of all people, makes perfect sense.“Germany today is renowned for its conservatism and quality but back then in the 60s, it was a pretty bohemian place to be. The 1960’s WV Combi was the icon of youth, freedom and Woodstock. It’s the perfect reflection of a fun, colourful eyewear collection designed for the youth market that independent optometrists often struggle to capture.”
Tim’s only regret? He wishes he was driving that Combi too.
