
OPSM, part of the Luxottica Group, has been awarded for ‘Excellence in Marketing’ and ‘Franchisor Social Responsibility’ at the Franchise Council of Australia (FCA) Excellence in Franchising Awards.
OPSM’s Penny the Pirate won in the category of ‘Excellence in Marketing’, bringing to 75 the number of awards the program has won since being launched in June 2014, including four Lions at the Lions Health and Cannes Lions Festival 2014.
OPSM created Penny the Pirate, a world’s first children’s book and app that doubles as a fun and interactive eye screening tool, in a bid to raise awareness of children’s eye health and help improve the vision of children across Australia.

Laubman & Pank, also part of the Luxottica Group, was awarded ‘Australian Emerging Franchisor of the Year’ at the 2015 FCA Excellence in Franchising Awards, which is awarded to an emerging franchising system for excellence in franchising practice between two and five years.
