Blind Cricket Needs Your Support

Our son Pete has been selected to represent NSW later this year (December 26 – January 8), playing his game, Blind Cricket.

Recently we discovered that the Blind Cricket Association is struggling to get enough funds to support the team. Having lost their main sponsor, they don’t even have the money to get uniforms together.

This situation is not uncommon – it seems that sponsoring any form of disabled sport is less appealing than for those more fortunate.

The impact is enormous. A government commission recently discovered participation in sport among the visually disabled is less than 3 per cent, primarily due to lack of funds.

Right now I’m asking for your support

I need to get Pete and his team off to the competition. We need to raise $15,000 for uniforms, trophies and airfares, to subsidise accommodation and to cover on the ground transportation.

Please dig deep and help out as much as you can.

Thanks in advance!
