On Trend: Hong Kong Optical Fair

Over 760 exhibitors from around the globe will showcase the latest fashion trends in eyewear as well as industry technology and equipment at the 24th Hong Kong Optical Fair, from 9–11 November at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

With pavilions dedicated to specific countries including the Chinese mainland, France, Italy, Japan, Korea and Taiwan, as well as group participation from the Hong Kong Optical Manufacturers Association and Visionaries of Style, this Fair is easy to navigate despite its massive scale.

Themed zones also make a trip to the Hong Kong Optical Fair easy to plan with the following key sectors highlighted: contact lenses and accessories; eyewear accessories; kids’ eyewear; reading glasses; smart eyewear; diagnostic instruments; frames, lenses and parts; optometric instruments, equipment and machinery; sporting and professional eyewear; and trade services.

Brand Spotlight

One of the highlights of the show is the Brand Name Gallery, displaying branded and designer spectacles and frames, with the emphasis on originality and creativity. This year, around 200 top names from around the world including Converse, Davidoff, Evisu, Kenzo, L.G.R, Markus-t, Menrad, Morgenrot, Moscot, MUZIK, Quiksilver and Thom Browne will be on display.

Winning and selected designs from the Hong Kong Eyewear Design Competition will also be displayed during the Fair, showcasing trends that will emerge in years to come.

A Global Conference

The 14th Hong Kong Optometric Conference will be staged during the Fair. Themed the ‘Advancement in Ophthalmic Treatments’ the conference will feature international expert speakers from Sweden, the US, Canada and HK.
