Eyefluence, a California-based company specialising in interactive eye technology for augmented, virtual and mixed reality devices, is to be acquired by Google. The purchase price was not disclosed.
Eyefluence will apparently work with Google to continue to advance eye-interaction technology to expand human potential and empathy on an even larger scale. The company is developing what it describes as a more natural, intuitive way to interact with augmented and virtual reality displays.
Eyefluence was founded in 2013 by entrepreneur Jim Marggraff, who serves as chairman and CEO. Mr. Marggraff spoke about Eyefluence’s approach to eye-interaction technology at Vision Monday’s 2016 Global Leadership Summit.
