The Cornea & Contact Lens Society of Australia (CCLSA) will be present at Silmo Sydney, taking place from March 9–11, 2017.
The society has been a prominent supportive resource for the cornea and contact lens field since 1962, offering and promoting education, research, professional development and networking.
Its mission is to advance corneal and contact lens practice by every means in order to educate and enlighten members of the society and the general public.
According to the Chief Executive Officer Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia, Dorothy Carlborg, the society works hard to ensure industry professionals and students stay connected in all regions in Australia.
“Our regular chapter meetings, ongoing e-newsletters and online hub ensure our members are up to date with the latest industry news,” said Ms. Carlborg.
Ms. Carlborg said Silmo Sydney will be a great opportunity for members to connect and to highlight the benefits of the society to industry professionals and students.
“We’re looking forward to experiencing the first ever Silmo Sydney and having face-to-face discussions about how we support cornea and contact lens professionals,” said Ms. Carlborg.
Managing Director of the show organiser, Expertise Events, Gary Fitz-Roy says having the CCLSA on board will definitely aid the key objective of the show.
“Silmo Sydney is an event that brings the industry together to discuss new business opportunities, strengthen relationships, learn the latest trends and see the latest products up close.
“We’re pleased that we can provide a place where industry professionals can connect with associations and find out what support they can be receiving,” said Mr. Fitz-Roy.
