Alcon Laboratories has transferred its ophthalmic medications, dry eye and allergy eye products, including the Systane Family of products and other Artificial Tears, to Novartis.
The transferring products will now be available through third party distributors.
Alcon Vision Care products (contact lenses, the Opti-Free and Aosept ranges) will not be impacted by the change and can still be ordered via Alcon Customer Support on 1800 025 032.
Novartis has appointed Clifford Hallam Healthcare Pty Limited (CH2) as its preferred third party distributor of the transferring products. The company has an online ordering tool and will uphold special pricing arrangements previously agreed to with Alcon. As an introductory offer (and in order to facilitate the ongoing supply of products) CH2 is offering customers a credit of AU$100 (ex GST) on all new accounts opened prior to 1 July 2017 and redeemable until 30 June 2018 for the purchase of transferring products.
