Adam McMahon has been appointed by Transitions Optical as Business Development Manager for Queensland, Western Australia and Northern Territory.
Mr. McMahon will work in partnership with independent practices to help boost their profitability through an increase in Transitions lenses sales. Working closely with practices, he will provide education, training, in-store merchandising, practice tools and programs.
Mr. McMahon has a bachelor’s degree in business from Griffith University, and previously held the dual role of practice manager and project manager at The Eyewear Collective. Prior to this, he spent five years with Laubman & Pank as a store manager. Additionally, Mr. McMahon has worked in the tourism and fragrance retailing sectors.
Stuart Cannon, Transitions Optical General Manager for Asia Pacific said the appointment reflects the significant increase in Transitions Optical Australian presence and activity in the past year including the appointment of a sales team, execution of local campaigns, ECP competitions, in-store merchandising and tools, and eye care professional support programs.
“Adam joins us at an exciting time,” said Mr. Cannon. “Last year was a big year for us; we increased our Australian presence by appointing a Transitions Optical sales team along with the execution of local marketing and store activity.
“In 2018 we have ambitious goals to ramp up our support of independent practices. Adam has embraced this challenge; he is a valued new team member both within Transitions Optical and with the practices he is already working with.”
