Eyecare Plus has released the first of a series of videos featuring interviews with its member optometrists.
“The videos are designed to inform the public about the surprisingly wide range of services optometrists can provide – from diagnosis of disease to treating dry eye,” said Simon Lewis, General Manager of Eyecare Plus.

“Many people don’t realise the full scope of services that optometrists can provide, so we are attempting to educate the market about that,” he added.
The videos feature optometrists from around Australia sharing anecdotes about memorable patient cases, humorous stories and their passion for the optometry profession.
“This is the first time that independent optometrists in Australia have been the centre piece of an online video series, and we’re excited they’re getting their chance to tell their story first hand,” said Mr. Lewis.

The first in the series of videos was released via social media and organically attracted 3,000 views within its first week. More videos will be released in the coming months to coincide with seasons, awareness campaigns etc. Additionally, optometrists will use the videos in their own social media campaigns.
