Over 50 golfers from Victoria and New South Wales travelled to Sydney to participate in Optometry Giving Sight’s annual Tim McKinnon Cup golf day in July.
The event received support from sponsors including Optiqueline, BOC, Designs for Vision, Good Optical, The Optical Company and CR Surfacing. General Optical, Safilo and the NSW Golf Club donated prizes for a raffle and auction.
Ron Baroni, Optometry Giving Sight’s Manager Australia, said of the annual event, “This event is a fantastic way to get members of the Australian optometry profession and industry together and raise funds for people in need of eye and vision care”.
Congratulations to Michael Bryant, overall men’s trophy winner, Rosemary Smith, overall women’s winner, and Greg O’Donnell who was awarded the coveted Optometry trophy. Charles Di Natale won a round of golf for four players, donated by the NSW Golf Club.
The 2019 Tim McKinnon Cup will be held on 9 July 2019.
