Three new initiatives have been announced for Silmo Sydney 2019, which opens its doors at the International Convention Centre in Sydney next July.
The optometry fair will focus on supporting up and coming designers and providing leading-edge shop front solutions. Additionally, it will deliver education on dry eye disease.
Dry Eye Symposium
An estimated four million Australians live with ‘dry eye disease’1 and awareness of the impact this disease has on quality of life has significantly increased. Silmo Sydney will run a dedicated dry eye programme presented by industry experts as part of its show line up.
Rising Star Frame Competition
In conjunction with Enmore Design School, Silmo Sydney will host the Rising Star Frame Competition. Open to students at the school, the competition will be judged on three key criteria: shape, materials and practicality. Entries will be displayed at Silmo Sydney with the winning frames featured at Silmo Paris in September.
Design and Fitout Centre
Building on the huge interest in the latest shopfitting and display options available, a dedicated space has been developed to showcase the future in shop fitouts.
Silmo Paris Attendees Invited ‘Down Under’
This year, for the first time, Silmo Sydney will exhibit at Silmo Paris, with the intent to invite exhibitors and visitors to mix business with pleasure as they attend the fair, discover ‘Down Under’ and experience all Sydney has to offer.
Campaign Sneak Peek
Continuing the focus on fashion and style, Silmo Sydney has unveiled the new look and feel for 2019. The ‘Made for You’ campaign highlights the importance of individuality, function and design – whether it’s the latest in frames, products or eye health education.
Silmo Sydney will run from 5 – 7 July 2019, at the International Convention Centre, Darling Harbour, Sydney.
