Commonwealth Bank Settles Blind Discrimination Claim

The Commonwealth Bank has settled a discrimination claim over touchpad devices launched in 2016 by two blind Australians.

The complainants argued that the devices, which are operated via a touchscreen to make transactions in many stores and restaurants, were virtually impossible to use safely and securely for people without vision.

The story was covered by ABC’s 7.30 report.
