
Optometrists are invited to attend a paediatric education workshop on 17 August 2019 at the Queensland Children’s Hospital in South Brisbane.
Topics covered will be:
• Development of the visual system
• Conducting paediatric eye examinations and assessments
• Refractive errors in children
• Amblyopia
• Strabismus in childhood
• Nystagmus
• Papilloedema
• Collaborative practice
Improve your knowledge and skills in paediatric eye examination
The cost of the day is AU$200 and includes food and a parking voucher.
All optometrists are welcome to attend the event.
Optometrists practising in Queensland and Northern New South Wales, who are not behavioural optometrists, and who complete the assessment and meet other criteria may be invited to ‘align’ with the QCH Ophthalmology department under the Paediatric Aligned Optometry Program.
