O-SHOW 2020 is coming to Sydney.
The industry’s boutique eye care event will be held at the famous Hordern Pavilion in Moore Park, from 16-17 May next year, providing the opportunity to view the latest industry fashion and technology in one new location.
O-Show timing fits perfectly well to be run in the alternate year to O=MEGA and will be a great resource for the industry
The pop up event, organised by the Optical Distributors and Manufacturers Association (ODMA), has been developed to meet the needs of the industry in the alternate year to the O=MEGA Show. It will take place during the weekend previously set aside for Southern Regional Congress (SRC).
Timed for samples introduced at MIDO to be showcased in Sydney, the event will be presented in an contemporary environment providing a relaxed opportunity to network and enjoy the ambience. There will be a good variety of quality food served from some of Sydney’s best loved food trucks.
“O-Show timing fits perfectly well to be run in the alternate year to O=MEGA and will be a great resource for the industry,” said Finola Carey, Chief Executive Officer of ODMA. “It is a non CPD event with the emphasis on hands on demonstrations, and the opportunity to compare and contrast new products and equipment,” she said.
Robert Sparkes, Chairman of ODMA welcomed the opportunity to deliver this successful event. “With two showings in Melbourne under our belt, it was time to bring this new event, featuring some trend leading features and experiences, to Sydney.”
He added, “Of course we will be taking advantage of the Hordern’s music reputation to have some live music at the Happy Hour drinks on Saturday evening to maximise the fun for everyone.”
O-Show will support new scholarships for the industry and provide funding to support the distribution of basic lens dispensing education booklets free of charge.
The iconic Hordern Pavilion has ample parking and a new light rail stop that delivers to the exhibition door. 16-17 May 2020 is well timed for interstate footy fans to attend an AFL football game, and excellent cultural productions are also guaranteed.
