Following significant change, Brien Holden Vision Institute (BHVI) has announced a new strategic roadmap, which includes realigning its organisational structure.
Dr Arthur Back (formerly Chief Technology Officer with CooperVision) has been appointed Managing Director of BHVI’s science arm, VisionCRC. Under the leadership of Dr Back and Professor Padmaja Sankaridurg, BHVI says it intends to continue to build an innovative research and development organisation focussed on developing sustainable, collaborative, commercial models
Combined with the expertise of Professor Sankaridurg, a pioneer in the field of myopia research, we are at the forefront of our industry
Additionally, new revenue streams are to be established through the growth of the organisation’s professional services business, by providing myopia management and education programs globally.
Yvette Waddell, CEO of BHVI said: “We are excited to have Dr Arthur Back join us. Dr Back invented more than 60 patents and commercialised 18 products while he was Chief Technology Officer at CooperVision. Combined with the expertise of Professor Sankaridurg, a pioneer in the field of myopia research, we are at the forefront of our industry”.
BHVI has appointed marketing agency Brand New You as its marketing partner and has engaged KPMG to manage its finances.
In a statement, BHVI thanked those who recently left the organisation and wished them well in all future endeavours.
