OV/SA Blue Sky Congress will present ‘A Day in November’ on Sunday 17 November, at the Pullman Adelaide Hotel in central Adelaide.

The single day Blue Sky event will be the first of its type from the newly merged structure of Optometry Victoria South Australia and will provide the perfect opportunity to update and refresh on anterior eye topics.
MC’d by Gary Edwards the focus of the day will be anterior eye and delegates will be able to achieve up to 18 therapeutic CPD points with assessment. There will also be an opportunity to refresh your CPR prior to the conference.
Speakers include Dr Laura Downie who will provide an update on dry eye disease, including current insights and future perspectives and optometrist Tim Martin, who will review how steroids are used in anterior eye conditions, including in patients who are pregnant, paediatric patients and those with viral conditions. Dr Ben Connell, a specialist cataract, refractive and corneal surgeon, will use a case based approach to review how he manages various cases referred to him by optometry. He will also talk about how corneal topography helps him in his work.
Dr Laura Downie, Tim Martin and Dr Ben Connell will also combine to provide a case-based session where they will discuss some anterior eye conditions from different perspectives.
